Just a quickie as Big Fat Gypsy Weddings is on & it would crush me too miss it! Just a little update; iv got a trial day at the job iv mentioned!-yay! Very nervous but also extremely excited. Then thursday is my boyfs birthday which im unfortunately working for, boo. Its going to be a busy, busy week!

Also i was lucky enough too have the boyf buy me the topshop daffodil dress iv been lusting after for our anniversary, however, little tip there is absolutely no boob room. Not even a bit, like, id wager that if you were a size 10 with b/c-cups you'd easily have to buy size 14-16 just to accommodate them :'(. Very dissapointing. *facepalm*

Thank you all for all the lovely comments in my previous post about my interview, sorry its been a late post since! Work has literally taken over my life, it takes me about 2 hours (just one way) to get to work so when i get home im not particularly inspired! But anyway the interview when well i think, hope, i should hear back around next week so here's hoping! The job sounds perfect & a great opportunity to work with upcoming illustrators as well which would be fantastic, fingers crossed.

On a different note its fast approaching my 4 year anniversary with the boyf! shockkkkkkker! That's almost a quarter of my life with one man, scaryyyyyy shit! Not sure what we're doing for it yet as im working, surprise, surprise but hopefully something extra nice. Im silly excited!

So two new things, one: possible centre parting...yes...no?im not sure, ive been going back & forth with the idea for a few weeks, ive always been a strictly side parting kinda girl for oh i dunno going on 7 or 8 years now which is exactly why i need a change. I feel that maybe its a bit more 'grown up' for me? Still im not convinced. Instead ive been slowly edging it over but im like common kate its just hair chill outttt. p.s spotlight lights are a photo killer!

 Also new bag, well sort of new, bought it awhile ago, lost it is the ever expanding mess that is pretty much is where ever i happen to live be & found it today, i love it. The straps a bit naff tbh its like poppers to adjust the length so looks a bit weird plus isn't as long as id like but other than that i have few complaints..oh & it barely holds anything. No hairspray with this bag, which is something i really do struggle with clearly. 

Oh well i think its a bit beautiful.

Now its all about the neapolitan yum.

interview

Had my first day at work today, id say it went well if not a little quite, i wore my newlook velvet dress that im sure everyone who reads my blog must think i live in. I don't. I just, well don't own many newlook clothes anymore & felt i needed too.- not gunna lie though i do love it & think its probs one of my most flattering dresses i own. 

I wore it with my orangy/red rimmel lipstick 'kiss me', which weirdly enough is the only rimmel lipstick i own that doesn't dry my lips out to shit.yay! 

Im sporting my obligatory billion rings on my gypsy hands, i swear the majority of the weight of my outfit is all in the hands. I bought that little topshop cross ring the other day, i know its been around for yonks but i just had never got round to it, £5 for it wasn't too bad i thought...or maybe it was for two teeny bits of metal...ok so not a 'bargin' but i love it. However if your into bargains i picked up my clip ons (bottom right) from truro flea market a couple of days ago for 50p bargain!yeah bargin! I also managed to find about three other pairs for about £1, if anyones down truro way and looking for some clip ons for their virgin ears then theres for sure the place.

p.s sorry for the big bags under my eyes, its been a longgggg day, if anyone knows any miracle cures please let me know.

A mish mash of different things im craving at the moment! I absolutely adore the topshop daffodil dress, been swooning since it first popped up on the website, im a big floral fan but iv grown a bit bored of them lately however this daffffooo print is just a little bit special. Both pairs of shoes are a must as soon as payday comes, that is if my conscience can deal with the real leather :'( boo. Also how ridiculously beautiful is the bikini? OH YES. Not that i currently have the body for it but a girl can dream.

- Oh and not to mention Kelly Brooke underwear for newlook, finally bras that will fit! Quite cute styles if not a little 'girly girly' but cant argue with cheap & large cups. winnnnning.

Iv spent the day with my besttt today which has been lovely & really the most enjoyable part of being home, bar the saving. Im planning on a nice romantic day with the boyf tomorrow, however the idea of rainrainrain all day is putting a downer on it, anyone know anything to do that requires little money & can be done in the middle of nowhere....that involves you know, getting out of the house?

Thought id try something a bit different today, its more graphicy- graphicy, not a word oops, than usual but infinitely more fun to play around on photoshop than the norm. What does everyone think? A little too simple looking?mmm maybe!

 Sorry iv been so m.i.a lately after saying i was back blogging! Im such a fail.Iv had a jam packed time seeing old friends & spending far too much time out drinking, my body is suffering badly now, poor poor skin! I never realised how hard it would be to get back into this after a little absence but hopefully im done with that now.  Iv got my new hours at work starting on sunday, im so nervous, its really hard starting a new job especially when i was so comfortable in my old one. boo boo.

Thanks for all the comments on whether or not to get a graze box, seems most people think its not that great but theres still part of me that thinks yeah fuck it, its free!

Im listening to nirvana atm feeling a little bit old school ;) & trying to catch up with all my blog stuff which brings me on too..Iv had some of those blog awards since i started & iv been a bit pants with replying etc so i though yes today is the day!

First of all, every single blog i follow are ones i genuinely think are great & would recommend to everyone, i dont ever just 'follow for follow' so yeah give them a little look, but as for favs atm, regardless of followers etc, basically the top ten ,ok it turned into 11, ones atm that i rush for the laptop

Hi guys, just a quick one to let you know im still here! Iv now got the internet up and running & im hoping to post an illustration or two tonight. Iv been super busy as you can imagine - the amount of actual crap i own is ridiculous!- also to all those who have enquired about me doing some illustration work for your blogs, i am trying to email you all back as quickly as i can to sort out any details but it may be a few more days until i can get fully back into it!

On another note, iv reached the 50 followers mark! yay! Thank you all for following & all your comments, its so nice to see people enjoying my work. Fingers crossed i'll have sometime tonight for more of a substantial post!

 Sorry ive neglected the blog for a couple of days, iv been ridiculously busy packing & going out, chances are i wont be able to post properly until about tuesday so just bear with me!

 
So last night was so good, had some man ask me if i was Egyptian...? um no?why? ' oh because your wearing a cross'....umm no & you know since when did being Egyptian & crosses go hand in hand more so than anywhere else?weird. Then came the awkward conversation of trying to exlain to this man why it was a necklace for fashions sake & not a religious statement & that i in fact am wholly not religious, needless to say...it didn't go down well. good start to the night kate! In the end though i didn't get in til about 5am, absolute winner, spent my whole night dancing to possibly the best music you could ever hear at a club, yes britney & beyonce im looking at you & no im so very very not into 'dance' music, then had a two quid pizza because apparently its like totally normal for places to stay open just to supply drunk people with food that late! Then fell into bed only to be up at 8 to have my mattress taken away for the move. Bye bye bed thanks for all the memories.

Oh & on the subject of food i was thinking about trying those graze boxes, anyone ever had one?

Finished my last day at work :'( emotional.

There was nothing left to do but have a domino's, two for tuesday mmmmhmmm, then take a nap, which is something i seemed to blog about alot on here - just to clarify im not an 87 year old women nor do i have some kind of medical condition, im just that lazy lately!but i don't care.

 Also boyf bought me some ice cream, only to find out that its actually a 'frozen dessert', a no diary, no nuts, no sugar,  vegan 'ice cream'. You know what, its really good! Only like 79 cal per serving, not bad!

  Guess what guys, ive finally got my scanner up & working! bout time right?

 (1) Iv had another busy weekend, a friend from leeds came to visit so naturally the only thing to do was to go out, drink too much & spend the next day regretting it. naturally.

 (2) I still so ill at the moment, seems as though im never actually well! However ive only got a week left in brighton & i intend to make the absolute most of it. Ive got so much planned - lets just hope my body holds outs.

 (3) Had a lovely trip with boyf to topshop to take full advantage of the 20% student discount, nah im not a student but where theres a will theres a way. He bought me the topshop flippy dress in the forest green, that id been lusting after since a work colleague sported it, a new nail varnish in peaches & cream - literally cant wait to give that a go & a skinny studded belt, which originally wasn't the one i was after but it may even be better!

Ive got alot more fashion related illustrations in the bag that i'll be posting over this week,

put a ring on it

 

So as you can see my not a ysl arty ring ring turned up! Its not perfect, the 'stone' is a bit too small for the mold but it was cheap as chips! I also ordered some clip on earring's courtesy of ebay once more, i love them, they remind me of something id see on big fat gypsy weddings- only paired with many,many more earring's. I love a good bit of tacky fake gold! & yes clip ons, i don't have my ears pierced, weird i know, me & my little virgin ears. Ive just never really gotten around to having them done, i have one ear that's a strange shape, it sort of pokes out & folds over a little- lush i know, so nobody could ever really see them anyway when i hide them under all my hair! I love clipons regardless, although iv lost many on nights out :'( booo.

I wore my much loved barry m lipstick, it was my first & one of my favs, a nice pick-me-up when im looking a little worse for wear. Its so soft & doesn't dry out my lips, the colour also lasts ages which isn't a bad little bonus. As far as i know barry m doesn't use carmine in their products ( i hope!) which is great for me as im trying so hard to slowly cut anything like that out.

 Iv had a really good day today, you know just one of those days that just kinda clicks. Work was over & done with before i knew it. Tried a vanilla spiced latte, have to say its the bombbbbb. So good. The 10% discount doesn't hurt either, every little helps! New episode of new girl is up & about floating around the internet. SCORE. I love newgirl, a little too much. Im also majorly excited to see Sassy Pants, its got that kid from the sixth sense in it...so you know im going to be good ;) - cheers yahoo news, what would i do without you. & im settling down for the charmed finale with hot chocolate. Doesn't take much to please me these days.

New ring! I never wear rings, which is stupid because i love them. I think their always just a bit of an after though! I also never wear silver, i had a big hatred for it for a long time, but now i literally have no idea how i could of.

This little beauty of a tote bag is one jon picked up for me from shop little shop in the lanes. I LOVE IT. Moustache girl riding a rabbit?yeah sure why not. No idea who illustrated it, but whoever it was, well done.

Florence & the machine inspired one today, i cant get enough of her newest album, iv had it for a while but just re-discovered it & my goodness is amaze. Bedroom Hymns has to be the best thing on there, makes the walk to work just that much more bearable!

 

- Iv wanted this dress for what feels like an age now. Its from miss selfridge in the petite bit, not that im petite but i think i could manage to squeeze into this little gem if i could ever find it! If anyone has it & wants to sell it or knows anyone who does or has seen it anywhere please, please let me know!

Whats this? a photo of me smiling? what a rarity! Im wearing my much loved diy coat today, as i do most days. God bless cold weather! I swear i'll be wearing fur all through summer if i have my way. The dotty dress is a go to of mine, little see through but other than that i love it. I think my fav thing about it is that im not restricted to certain colour nail varnish's/ lip sticks, which bring's me onto my love of barry m. So nice, so cheap. This lipstick is one mother bought me a while back, not sure what its called, i call it 'icing', yeah. I don't normally wear light lipstick, i think it makes teeth look yellow.ew. but i was feeling matchy, matchy today with my newly painted nails. oooo fancy-well not really i just don't normally bother, they chip like a bitch at work so i never really see the point!

As you can see the boyf took me to yo sushi today. OH YUM. Im gunna miss that. I was lucky enough to have a 45% of voucher from glamour magazine. Sweet deals. It was so good, i love veggy sushi & the fact that it makes me such a cheap date(with all the veg stuff only like £2.50 tops) is a real winner.

So the reader last night was good. Yay! Recommend a watch, well don't like go out & buy it or anything but if its one, yeah, sure why not. Kate Winslet is beautiful as always & the guy in it is really good to watch, plus the fact he only learnt to speak english for the film is impressive on its own! - not to mention he has a nice bum, worth a little look ladies ;)

What a lazy weekend iv had, ive basically been bedridden & i wont lie its been LUSH. This has been my last weekend to completely relax before i leave so ive been soakin' it up. I was lucky enough to have the lovely kath of pocket full of fashion, great blog btw - check it out, name me in a little award for blogs with under 200 followers thing, needless to say i was very honoured, its so nice to have someone mention you! Might put my own one soon, still not fully sure on how it works though being the old spinster i am.

I'm going to watch the reader tonight on channel 4, tbh haven't heard a lot about it - what i have has been good,  it looks interesting enough so why the hell not! - Is it weird that i find ralph fiennes just a little bit attractive, i mean given he normally plays eeeevvvvviiiilllll men?mmm.

Ive been doing a little bit of research into some volunteering jobs for my little jaunt across the world. Theres so many i want to do but i cant help but think paying £2000 to shovel poo is a bit silly, id rather volunteer & not pay but find my own accommodation/food etc. Anyone know anything like that?

Soooooo iv decided i might even try an outfit post tomorrow.shock horror! yeah.i dunno maybe. We'll see.

As i said in a previous post iv been on the hunt for a new dress, any new dress but what i haven't said is that for about 3 months now iv been looking for a dress with long sleeves- not a  massive request you might say but you'd be surprised! Luckily on my peruse of blogs LLYMLRS - amazing blog btw- although im sure you all know it, had this little gem of a  LONG SLEEVED dress. Needless to say i was bang on that. Cant wait for it to arrive.

The orange shoes aren't normally something i would look twice at but in real life, saw them at work, they are beautiful & look much more expensive than id expect. I know everyones jumping on the old pastel coloured band waggon- which yes i do love too, but i cant forget my newly found love of orange, orange jumpers, orange lipstick, orange nail varnish, orange shoes, orange. I do think orange suits blonde's more, i still cant resist it though! Plus im thinking of going back to blonde soon, probably just an ashy kind of blonde but my heart wants a white/lilac colour. Perhaps a bit too bold for me.

Im very much looking forward to my tax rebate, kachinnnnnng, to pay for all this lovely haul, not to mention the massive vintage shopping spree im going to partake in before the move. I guess that's one perk, sort of perk, of being an 'adult' - i.feel.so.old you know over paying in tax without really noticing but then getting it all back so it ends up feeling like a gift!

 mmmm enjoying a nice night in with some location,location,location - shouldn't watch it really, sends me off on an imaginary house shopping spree, oh yeah £800,000?yeah no probs.pshh, my poor boyfriend & my high expectations.

The little diddy above is just a quicky, still playing around with some different styles lately. Iv found that since starting this blog my style, of which i was so sure of, has been ever so slightly changing which surprises me as like i said i was pretty set in my ways. Cant wait to crack that sewing machine out in a few weeks and add some texture to my illustrations!

Yet more views tomorrow! Sighhhh. I mean, im not at all shocked nobody is like jumping at the chance of moving in here, its not great value or anything but id very much like it if someone would so i don't have to be up at 7am to make sure im dressed in time for a group of people to come a pokin!

Im on the hunt for a new dress atm, but the high street is letting me down big time, theres just nothing. Everythings all t-shirts & shorts, which yes is nice but just not me. Anyone seen any dresses worth a mention?if so-

Actually really looking forward to a nice night in tomorrow, have to be careful though iv been so hungry today im afraid if i have too much time on my hands i may end up eating my own body weight in junk & i don't want that now! nomnomnomnom.

Quick'un today, Im having such an old man day today, literally, - & not so much i suppose. I'm sat in my new massive,cable knit jumper courtesy of newlook & leggings eating little vimto strips watching charmed. I know, i know your all in absolute awe of my never ending adventure of a life. 

I'm also feeling a little bit sorry for myself today, had some rather rude comments- although im sure they didn't mean them too be, from customers at work today & REALLY bad skin.oh & my ghd's snapped, wah wah wah. I'm such a moaner.

I don't normally do jumpers, as i mentioned before i have an 'above average' bust so jumpers just really don't do anything for me, plus im practically always in dresses but this little one was just such a beaut & super cosy, right time right place i suppose! Not a webcam photo! Growth. Tried some full body/clothes photos but the idea of posing terrifies me.

Im wearing my lovely & pretty much unused, by me anyway, vintage faux fur coat. £20 from To Be Worn Again. Not bad, not bad. Still although it was an absolute bargain that id of been stupid to pass up iv got a thing about anyone who isn't on the teeny side wearing full fur- well i know that i end up looking like a bear. 
Went out on sat to see some bands with the boyf then out to vodka revs for a friends birthday so, busybusy! & today iv spent about...um 7 hours playing the xbox, MAJORLY COOL. Gunna crash out early tonight as we've got some viewings for our flat kinda early, 10 - that's early right? I hate having viewings, the idea of strangers coming into my flat & poking around horrifies me, its like someone going through your ipod or phone or something, way too personal.
Oh man the weekend ends way too quickly.
